Institutional Membership is open to programs and departments at universities or educational establishments, research institutions, cultural organizations and partnerships, and scholarly foundations located in North America (US and Canada) with a particular focus on Islamic and Muslim studies. However, such entities shall not have voting privileges. Institutional membership supports NAAIMS’s following academic activities: University Co-sponsored conferences and lectures, Academic Awards Programs, and publication of the Journal of Islamic and Muslim Studies (JIMS), its bi-annual double-blind peer-reviewed publication established in 2016.
